❤️ Some Startups we love!
As we know, COVID has accelerated the sector and the market is expected to be just short of $100bn by the end of 2021. Some leading trends we have seen are gamification, bridging skill gaps in emerging markets, and online tutoring platforms.
Here are some of our favourite start-ups we have rooted for on their journey's:
Abwaab - the Jordanian online learning ecosystem, offering affordable, tailored, local curricula 📚, just raised a Series A round of $20m to drive exciting expansion plans year-end
GoStudent - Europe's first EdTech unicorn 🦄 (technically). The online K-12 tutoring platform, providing more than 400,000 sessions monthly, just raised a huge $244m Series C round
Outschool - COVID's winners! Pre-pandemic: 1,000 teachers, 10,000 courses and $10m raised. Post Pandemic: 7,000 teachers, 140,000 courses and $240m raised. They are now valued at $3bn 📈
BrightChamps - the Indian EdTech startup, aiming to bridge the education gap in K-12, just came out of stealth mode 🤫 with a valuation of nearly $500m. They are now aiming to expand into 10 countries outside their headquarters in Goa
Crehana - a LATAM platform closing the reskilling and upskilling gap, just raised the largest Series B in the region. They aim to develop new products and technology and expand into Brazil 🇧🇷
We love to hear from you about your startup's most exciting news. We will be aiming to feature 3 of our favourite stories monthly. Submit them here.
